Pamak 4® Tall Oil Fatty Acid
Catalog Number Q031 Definition Is a mixture of rosin acids and fatty acids recovered from the hydrolysis of tall oil. Pamak 4 tall oil fatty acid is produced by fractional distillation of tall oil. It is a pale, low rosin grade of fatty acids, readily handled, oily liquid of uniform properties and composition. Pamak 4 consist largely of straight chain, 18 carbon mono- and di-unsaturated fatty acids, mainly oleic and linoleic. CAS Number 61790-12-3 Application Pamak 4 is used in the manufacture of soaps, protective coatings, tempering oils, flotation reagents, polymerization, cosmetics, dyes, leather, coatings, surfactants, amines and the petroleum industry. When used alone or when reacted or formulated with other materials is an economical raw material for the manufacture of emulsifiers used in disinfectants, cleaners, and detergents; air drying and baking alkyds; gloss oils and varnishes; drum and toy enamels; tempering oils for hardboard; metallic dryers; core oils; masonry cements; flotation reagents; and chemical intermediates.
