Application	Fumaric acid is widely used in many industries in applications such as modifier for polyester, alkyd, and phenolic resins, paper-size resins, plasticizers, rosin esters and adductors, alkalid resin coatings, upgrading natural drying oils (especially tall oil) to improve drying characteristics, in food as substitute for tartaric acid, as acidulant and flavoring agent, mordant, organic synthesis, printing inks.
